About Microduck
Microduck is a compact open-source biped robot developed by Pollen Robotics, part of Hugging Face. Standing 25 centimeters tall and weighing about 780 grams, it packs 15 motors, a wide-angle camera, compact 8-by-8 ToF LiDAR, two IMUs, microphones, a speaker, two NFC antennas, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and an articulated beak that can grasp small objects. Microduck arrives with seven trained behaviors, including walking, sitting, standing, kicking, grabbing, roller skating and recovering from common falls. Developers can use its open-source SDK, MuJoCo simulator and reinforcement-learning stack to train new behaviors in simulation and deploy them to the physical robot. A Rockchip RK3566 processor with an AI accelerator runs the onboard system, while a removable NP-F550 battery provides approximately one hour of use. Pollen Robotics opened preorders on August 27, 2026, positioning Microduck as an approachable desktop platform for makers, students, educators and physical-AI developers.
